Status: Open for applications — ECDA's page (updated 30 Jun 2026) shows the grant open. GoBusiness says agency-run productivity grants like this one will move to EDGE in phases from November 2026, that new submissions stop during the transition, and that ongoing projects continue to completion and claim. It says each agency will announce its own timeline; ECDA's page gives no date.

Who qualifies

  • Must be registered in Singapore.
  • Applicant must be an ECDA-licensed preschool operator or centre, registered and operating in Singapore.
  • The solution must fall within the Early Childhood Industry Digital Plan (IDP 2.0) categories: digital solutions pre-approved jointly by ECDA and IMDA and used in Singapore, or physical solutions or equipment that meet the published category specifications.
  • The solution must be new to the centre (not adopted before) or an enhanced function (an upgrade adding new functions to an existing solution), adopted by the operator as a single legal entity or by a consortium.
  • Before applying, the operator must not have made any payment to, or signed or confirmed any contract with, a supplier, vendor or third party for the purchase, lease or subscription of the solution.
  • Funding is assessed on the ECDA-registered UEN and the number of centres registered under that UEN, as stated in the application form.
  • Physical solutions and equipment have no pre-approved vendors or price packages; the operator may choose its own provider that meets the category requirements.
  • Each application may cover up to 10 units (centres under the same UEN); rolling out in different phases needs separate applications, and each application allows only one claim.

What it funds

  • Adopting digital tools, software, e-commerce, cybersecurity
  • Automation, robotics, equipment upgrades for productivity

Costs covered: Software licences and SaaS; Hardware, machinery, IT equipment.

Maximum support: up to 50%.

Digital solutions: up to 50% of first-year implementation costs. Physical solutions and equipment: up to 50% of costs unless otherwise specified. Specific cost caps may apply to some solution categories; the pages read do not give them.

No overall cap is stated. Funding is assessed on the operator's ECDA-registered UEN and the number of centres under it, and reimbursement must stay within the maximum approved amount. The page says specific cost caps may apply to some solution categories (the GoBusiness listing for Smart Infant Cot shows no cap).

Payment: Paid after the company incurs the cost and files a claim.

How to apply

Pick a supportable solution from ECDA's list (digital solutions are listed in the GoBusiness directory under the Early Childhood sector), get the vendor quotation or quotations, then log in to the Business Grants Portal with Corppass and file the application before signing any contract or paying.

  1. Choose a supportable digital or physical solution from the categories on the ECDA page. Digital solutions are those pre-approved by ECDA and IMDA; for physical solutions, pick any provider that meets the category specifications.
  2. Get a quotation from the vendor (three quotations with the preferred vendor clearly indicated for physical solutions or equipment).
  3. Log in to the Business Grants Portal (BGP) with a Corppass account and complete the company profile: employee size, financial information including financial statements, holding companies and subsidiaries, licence information.
  4. Start the grant application and fill in the tabs: Eligibility, Contact details, Proposal, Cost, Business Impact, Declaration and review.
  5. In the Proposal tab, state any pre-approved vendor preference, the reason for needing the solution, the intended start date and the number of units (centres under the same UEN, up to 10 per application); upload the quotation and list the deployment locations, which must match the number of units.
  6. Review and submit; BGP shows the application on the home page and sends an email.
  7. On approval, open the project under Updates Required, download and review the Letter of Offer, and accept it.
  8. After the solution is fully implemented, choose File new claim, select the project, enter the actual expenses (they must tally with the Letter of Offer), upload the claim documents and the Business Impact Form, complete the declaration and submit. Only one claim is allowed per application.

Before applying

  • No payment made and no contract signed or confirmed with a supplier, vendor or third party for the solution before applying.
  • The operator holds an ECDA licence and has a Corppass account with BGP access.
  • The solution has been fully implemented before the claim is filed.

Documents

  • Quotation from vendor — Digital solution funding.
  • Three quotations with similar technical requirements and features, preferred vendor clearly indicated — Physical solutions or equipment funding.
  • Technical specifications or tech brochures — Physical solutions or equipment funding.
  • Financial statements of the entity registered under the UEN for the past 3 years — Both funding types.

Claiming support
