Recorded status: Accepting applications now
Who qualifies
- Applicant must register a new electric heavy vehicle between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2028 for each co-funded charger.
- Each registered eHV is eligible for the EHVCG for one charger only; LTA tags each charger to a specific eHV to prevent duplicate claims.
- Up to three chargers per site are eligible; chargers must be installed at the applicant’s place of business, have at least 50kW, be smart chargers, and serve an eligible lorry or coach lot.
- The place of business can be the applicant’s headquarter office, site office, client site or heavy vehicle park, and need not be owned by the applicant; if not owned, the premise owner’s approval is required via a signed Letter of Confirmation.
- The applicant need not be the registered owner of the charger, and the charger may be shared with public users; publicly accessible chargers must be operated by a Licensed Electric Vehicle Charging Operator (EVCO).
- A smart charger must be able to receive and react to information such as by adjusting the rate of charging, monitor, record and transmit energy consumption and timestamps, and use Open Charge Point Protocol version 1.6 or above.
- The heavy vehicle lot must be at least 7.5m x 3m for angled parking or 9.0m x 3.0m for parallel parking.
- Co-funded cost components are the charger system (e.g. charger equipment, router), Licensed Electrical Worker fees, and cabling and installation costs. GST paid on the cost components is not eligible for co-funding.
- Chargers must be installed after the applicant receives the Letter of Offer from LTA indicating the approved grant quantum; receipts for charger installation costs must be dated after grant approval.
- At claim submission, the eHV must have been purchased and registered in the applicant's name; in a leasing arrangement, the registered owner (lessor) is the eligible applicant.
- Restricted Use electric heavy vehicles are ineligible because only vehicles with Additional Registration Fee paid at registration qualify.
- Chargers must remain operational for three years from the Letter of Offer; the applicant must provide energy-consumption and charger-utilisation information on request and obtain LTA approval before relocation or removal during that period.
- Ineligible costs include signages, carpark-lot repainting, electrical or civil infrastructure upgrades, and SP PowerGrid grid-connection fees for higher load intake.
