Who qualifies

• Must be registered in Singapore.
• Applications had to be made by Singapore-registered companies; interested parties could form partnership consortiums.
• For end-user enterprises, commercial deployment meant deployment in a live environment at the applicant-defined scale; for solution providers, it meant deployment at the first customer's operations.

What it funds

• R&D, product development, prototyping, IP
• Adopting digital tools, software, e-commerce, cybersecurity

Maximum support: up to 70%.

IMDA supported up to 70% of qualifying costs for approved projects.

Payment: Paid after the company incurs the cost and files a claim.

How to apply

Applicants submitted the completed proposal template by email to 5GSG@imda.gov.sg with the subject header "5G Innovation <Tech Domain> - <Company/Consortium Name>".

1. Complete the proposal template.
2. Email it to 5GSG@imda.gov.sg with the stated subject header.

Before applying

• The proposal had to cover commercial deployment or commercialisation of a 5G-enabled solution.
• The proposal had to indicate significant value and impact to enterprises and industry and include an operationalisation plan, commercialisation plan and business model.
• Projects had to use commercial Mobile Network Operator networks; IMDA did not allocate trial spectrum.

Claiming support

Projects that did not realise commercialisation could be subject to partial reimbursement on a case-by-case basis; the page does not state a standard claim workflow.
